Bhubaneswar: In a socking episode, a man was found murdered with throat slit inside an hotel room near Ashok Nagar here on Tuesday night.
The expired has been identified as Gourishankar Tanti (25) of Baunsuni range of Boudh area. The blamed, a cousin of the perished, has been nabbed. Police conducted the postmortem at Capital hospital today and grabbed a knife from the accused. An scientific group with the forensic authorities have been occupied with the probe.
The accused, Saroj Bhabsagar (28), is behaving in an abnormal manner. He seems to be mentally retarded, police said. So, it is difficult to extract any information from him, they added.
Police said Saroj was in an inebriated condition before committing the crime. Police found the hotel furniture broken inside the room. The blood stain clothes and dresses have also been seized.
