Puri: Police nabbed six people today connection with the vandalism in Puri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) on August 17 night taking after the demise of a patient.

Eminently, relatives of expired Nabakishore Jena had scoured the Government-run hospital and thrashed a few doctors and staff of the hospital in the night ascribing Jena’s passing to medical carelessness.

Irate over this, four senior doctors of the hospital had given conditional resignation protesting frequent occurrence of such vandalism at the hospital. The four warned that they would not join their duty until they are provided with round-the-clock security. However, they resumed their duty after a discussion with Additional Collector, Sub-Collector, Additional SP and CDMO.
