Cuttack : In a bid to create awareness among people towards environmental issues, the Biswa Paribesa Parisada (BPP) in Cuttack has initiated a tree plantation drive involving villagers at Telengapentha near the millennium city.

On Thursday, 60 banyan & Peepal tree planted in Nachhi pur village of Telengapentha, in the presence of Chief Guest Dr Sanjay Satpathy, Dean Students’ Welfare, Ravenshaw University & Dr Manabhanjan Kahanr, Asst Surgeon, SCB Medical College & Hospital.

The plantation drive in Telengapentha is also aimed at capturing the imagination of young mass regarding environmental issues and grooming responsible citizens with an aptitude for ensuring sustainable development.

In the Programme, President of the Parisad Sri Trilochan Jena, Sri Sanyasi, Dr Bibhabasu Mani, Journalist Prakash Kumar Panda, Susanta Samal, Jagdish Biswal were present.
