Bhubaneswar: Where is Papu? After registering case against renowned comedian Papu pom pom (Tatwaprakash Satpathy), The Commissionerate police now in the search of Papu. But it semms that Papu fled away after hearing the news. In the first incident of its kind in the state, Mahila Police here lodged a case of rape on a minor girl against renowned comic on-screen actor Papu Pom and his close partner Pradip Swain alias Gitu on Monday.
The FIR was held up on the basis of the complaint lodged by Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Nirupama Rath, Police official YB Khurania said .
Pappu Pom Pom has been charged under various under sections 354 (A), 506 & 509 of IPC and the POCSO Act, the commisssioner said.
The police action followed after the CWC directed the Mahila Police earlier in the day to register a case against the actor for allegedly exploiting the minor girl physically on the pretext of giving her a break in Odia films.
