Bhubaneswar: The Odisha govenrment today sounded alert in the state in wake of the terrorost attack on an armed force camp in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir in which 18 fighters were killed.

“In spite of the fact that there is no particular inteligence input for the state, we would prefer not to take any risk. The security plan have been beefed up in airplane terminal, bus stands, railway stations and crucial establishments in the beach front district,” Odisha DGP K B Singh told columnists here.

Special security arrangements had been made for army bases in the state, police armouries, Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, Paradip port, Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur, Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar, State Assembly, Secretariat, Bhubaneswar railway station and Biju Patnaik International Airport here, he said.

This apart, the DGP said, strict vigil was being maintained in crowded places in different parts of the state.
