New Delhi: In the wake of fire tragedy in SUM Hospital in Bhubaneswar on last monday which witnessed the death of 25 patients, senior BJP pioneer and Union Petroleum and Natural Gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan today said the Odisha CM should give resignation on moral ground.
“In the fire tragedy that occurred at SUM Hospital in which 25 patients killed, there is a notion that the Health ministry is responsible to the accident.
Apart from the Health ministry, the Home department is also similarly in charge of the episode. The Fire department, which is under the Home ministry, has fizzled in its duty. It appears that the Fire Services division, which has a major role in strict fire safety rules, has neglected to release its duty appropriately, Dharmendra said.
I am utterly surprised that why chief minister Naveen Patnaik, who is in charge of the Home department, has remained silent. Why the chief minister is yet to take moral responsibility and give his clarification to the people of Odisha? He should own moral responsibility as a Home minister,” union minister Dharmendra Pradhan said.
He said the ruling BJD leaders are trying their best to divert the main issue only to protect their high commend.
