Malkangiri: Vigilance official captured the executive engineer of the Rural Development (RD) dept in Malkangiri today.
The authorities conducted a raid at Mathili and seized Rs 7.5 lakh in cash from the car. The authorities nabbed executive engineer Ranesh Chandra Jaal and a contractor from the car. Carefulness is probing the source of the huge amount of cash found in his possession.
Vigilance officials raided the Government office and house of Jaal at Malkangiri and sealed a house at Balipeta in Jeypore in Koraput district.
