Paradip: A day after a joint team of Angul police, Paradip ASP and Paradip IIC carried out a marathon interrogation to industrialist Mahima Mishra in connection with the firing at Jalaram Transport in Angul on the last day of his remand period yesterday, Commissionerate Police on Wednesday is grilling Mishra for his involvement in 2013 Khannagar bombing case in Cuttack.
After reopening the Cuttack Press Chhak bomb hurling case in 2013 on Wednesday, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Cuttack and Madhupatna Inspector in Charge (IIC) are quizzing Mishra about the bombing incident at Paradip.
Police is also likely to take Mishra on a five-day remand for further interrogation into the bomb hurling incident, sources added.
Criminal Ganesh Sahu of CDA area has been arrested in the connection with the bomb hurling case, sources in police said, adding that, as many as seven cases are pending against Ganesh in various police stations of Cuttack.
Earlier yesterday, two senior Crime Branch officials had interrogated Mishra in connection with the abduction of former manager of JM Bakshi company in 1995.
According to sources, the Crime Branch officials sought to know Mahima’s link in the abduction, whether OSL had any rivalry with JM Bakshi Company and the controversies surrounding stevedoring business during that time.
