Jammu, Dec 28 (PTI) The Jammu and Kashmir cabinet today approved promotions of 17 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to the various administrative grades of the elite service.
The cabinet, which met here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, approved promotion of Shaleen Kabra, Bipul Pathak and Ashok Kumar Parmar to the higher administrative grade of IAS, effective from January 1, 2017, an official spokesman said.
Consequent upon their promotion, Kabra and Pathak are designated as principal secretaries to the government in their respective departments, the official said.
The cabinet also approved promotion of Sanjeev Verma, Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Anal Kumar Gupta, Raj Kumar Bhagat, Nirmal Sharma and Khurshid Ahmad Shah to the super time scale of IAS, effective from January 1, 2017, he said.
Consequent upon their promotion, Verma, Bhandari, Gupta, Bhagat and Shah are designated as commissioner secretaries to the government in their respective departments, he added.
The cabinet has approved promotion of Mandeep Kour, Pandurang K Pole, Salma Hamid, Tasneem Maajid and Farooq Ahmad Shah to the selection grade of IAS, while Avny Lavasa, Anushal Garg and Vikas Kundal were promoted to the senior time scale of the service, all effective from the same date as others.
