Malkangiri: The deadly Japanese Encephalitis claimed three more lives in Malkangiri today. Total number of deaths in the district reached 108.

Three kids undergoing treatment at the Malkangiri DHH succumbed to the disease this morning. The perished were identified as Ramesh Bisoi (3) of Kataguda village under Padia block and Muna Sodhi (1) and Radhika Madakami (3) of Korukonda block.

On the other hand, the administration will door-to-door survey for 3 days from November 20 to prevent the spread of the deadly disease. Later, kids aged between 1 and 15 years would be given vaccination from the first week of December. This was decided at a meeting held under the chairmanship of the Collector yesterday.
