Mumbai : Stating that he has pulled back his resignation and would keep on working for Congress, Ex Union minister Gurudas Kamat on Friday took a dig at Mumbai Regional Congress Committee (MRCC) boss Sanjay Nirupam and AICC in-charge for state Mohan Prakash.

Kamat had tendered his resignation and sent the same to Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi and also VP Rahul Gandhi. After they didn’t take perception of the same, Kamat’s resignation was flowed on social media on June 5.

It was only after discussions with party leaders Ahmed Patel and AK Antony along with assurance from party president Sonia Gandhi to look into the points raised by him, 61-year-old Kamat on Thursday changed his decision yet again. In his 40-year-old political career he has tendered his resignation on four occasions.

Refusing to comment on Nirupam’s style of functioning, Kamat said: “He has a different style and I would not comment on the same. What I can tell is I always work by taking everyone together. I believe in organization.”

Commenting on Prakash, Kamat sarcastically said: “Under his able guidance the party would prosper.”
