New Delhi : Hitting back at Robert Vadra for the comment of his tweet on waiters, BJP pioneer and member of Rajya sabha Subramanian Swamy on Saturday said Sonia Gandhi’s son in-law ought to focus on staying out of prison as opposed to remarking on political issues. “I think Mr.Vadra ought to focus on staying out of prison and not remark on political issues,” Swamy told the journalists here.
Swamy’s reaction on Sonia Gandhi’s son in-law came after he said censured Swamy for “undermining” waiters, by deigning and harsh comments about them is unfortunate and classist. “So is there no poise in being a Waiter?!
The attention seeking BJP MP Swamy’s comment: ‘Ministers who wear a coat and tie “look like waiters” and must be instructed to wear Indian clothes’.
Undermining waiters who work hard for a living; making condescending and derogatory remarks about them is deplorable and classist,” Vadra said on Facebook.
Vadra’s attack on Swamy came after the BJP leader appealed his party to direct the “ministers to wear traditional and modernised Indian clothes while abroad” and added that “in coat and tie they look like waiters.”
