Athagarh: In a tragic occurrence, a lady was trampled to death by an tusker at Saniamuhan town under Khuntuni jungle range on Thursday morning.
As indicated by sources, the occurrence took place when the lady was leaving her home. The pachyderm dragged her outside the house before stomping her to death. She passed on the spot.
Irate over the incident, locals stage a road blockade on Nation Highway-55 near Orada demanding compensation to the family members of the deceased.
