Bhubaneswar: Tension continued for the third day on Saturday at Daruthenga town on the edges of the capital city as local people blocked the road protesting dumping yard in the territory.

As per sources, dumping yard in the region has been disrupted because of the protest by local people.

On Friday, the villagers clashed with police during the dumping of waste materials at the selected place.

Around 300-400 agitators pelted stones injuring some policemen. Police used tear gas shells and fired rubber bullets to disperse the mob, which was getting violent. Twelve villagers were injured in retaliatory action by the police.
