Bhubaneswar: Dengue fever scare has gripped the capital after seven people from the Salia Sahi slum here tested positive for the infection.

Despite the fact that administration insights peg the number of dengue influenced people at seven, sources put the number in double digits.

In the wake of a spate of dengue cases reported in the last couple of days, the administration has ventured up measures to avert and control incidents of dengue.

“No fresh cases have been identified. We are regularly sending blood samples for testing. We need around six to seven days to get the situation back to normal,” said Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) mayor Ananta Narayan Jena.
