CHENNAI: A 24-year-old lady techie who worked for IT major Infosys was hacked to death on Friday morning at a rail platform in Chennai, by a man who had allegedly stalked her for quite a long time.
The lady was waiting for her train to work at around 6.45 am at the Nungambakkam railway platform when the unidentified man allegedly drew nearer her.
Witnesses have told the police that the man came up to her and after a warmed arguement, attacked her with a sickle he was conveying in a bag. The lady, struck in her neck and face, died.
There are no CCTV cameras at the station – one of the busiest in Chennai – which makes it tougher for the police to zero in on the attacker.
The railway police say they have strong leads. A man used to stalk her at her workplace 60 km from Chennai, police sources told
