Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday hiked fares for all classes of bus according to the automatic fare adjustment mechanism.
According to a notice issued by the Commerce and Transport office, the charges for general and express transports has been hiked by 1 paisa for every kilometer, while charge for Deluxe and AC Deluxe class transports has been hiked by 2 paise per kilometer.
With this hike coming into effect, the fare for ordinary buses will now be 61 paise per km as against 60 paise per km earlier while the fare of express buses has been increased to 64 paise from 63 paise per km.
