Balasore: The surface-to-air ballistic missile Barak-8 was test fired today at Chandipur. As indicated by sources, the missile was test fired at 10:13AM today from the launchpad-3 in Chandipur, Balasore. Another test-fire is booked to be held in the afternoon, sources said.

The Barak-8 rocket has been mutually built by DRDO and Israel Aerospace Industries.

The Barak-8 is a long range surface-to-air missile with a target range of 90Kms.

The Barak-8 weighs in at 275 Kg and is 4 meters in length.
