Balasore: A constable of the police was attacked by some miscreants near Galapola here yesterday. Police detained six persons for there involvement.
When constable Manoranjan Mohapatra had gone to Galapola in Sahadevkhunta area by his motorcycle in the evening, he had some arguments with three to four persons. It is alleged the miscreants had attempted to kill Constable Manoranjan Mohapatra by silting his throat with a sharp weapon.
Later, some locals rescued the cop from the spot in critical condition and admitted him to a hospital here. Doctors at the hospital said condition of Mohapatra is critical.
