KOLKATA: Security has been beefed up at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata after a threat call was made to the Kolkata Police Headquarters in the city.
Intensive security looks at are being conveyed at the air terminal, both at the payload and the passenger terminal. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which is in charge for air terminal security suspects the call is a hoax.
According to sources, the call which was made at 01:30 at night, and the anonymous caller warned someone was planning to attack the airport. Sources the caller warned of a human bomb.
Special checks are being carried out at the airport. The police are trying to trace from where the call was made and the identity of the caller.
