Amritsar : A suspicious bag was found inside an Amritsar-bound SpiceJet flight on Thursday. As indicated by news organization ANI, all travelers were de-boarded securely. A bomb disposal squad quickly touched base at the scene to review the pack at the Amritsar airplane terminal.
The airplane was removed the runway and stopped in a isolated spot for hunt operations, as indicated by news organization IANS. Flight operations were apparently suspended at the airplane terminal after the episode.
SpiceJet Flight 56, which departed from Dubai at 4.05 am, arrived today morning at 8.51 am in Amritsar. Media reports say that the Air Traffic Control was alerted after a bag was found unattended by the SpiceJet flight crew.
SpiceJet first launched direct flights to Dubai in October 2015. The flight carrier connects eight cities to Dubai, including connecting flights from a dozen more cities.
It was launched amid much fanfare, with the introductory offer of Rs 4,999 for a one-way ticket between Kozhikode- Dubai and Amritsar–Dubai.
