Bhubaneswar: Four people of Kebidi town of Borigumma block in Koraput area were killed close to the Egmore railway station in Tamil Nadu, the Koraput police said today.
The perished, identified as Bhaskar Jani, Kumar Kuldeep, Gorkha Muduli, Keshaba Jani, had gone toward the southern State for work. While crossing a rail line close to the Egmore rail route station on their way to work field, the four people were hit by a train yesterday.
On the spot, three of them died whereas the fourth one was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister’s Office has asked the Koraput District administration to ensure the bodies were handed over to the family at their house.
