NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation has started a investigation into the mobs cases identified with Jat blend in Haryana prior this year leading to arson and damage of public property worth crores.

The CBI has registered three cases on charges identifying with brutality amid a caste based tumult in Rohtak area, Haryana, in February, 2016. Charges include assaulting, plundering of weapons of the police, endeavoring to kill the relatives and torching the home of state minister Captain Abhimanyu.

CBI took over the investigation of these cases on the request of Haryana government and further orders from government of India. The allegations in two of these three cases pertain to violence and arson at the residence of Haryana finance minister.

The third case relates to allegations of looting of weapons from a company of BSF and Haryana Police and attempting to murder them by thousands of armed rioters while they were on law and order duty at Delhi Bye Pass, Rohtak.
